McLean, VA., September 2020 – Technalink, Inc. is proud to announce the award of a prime contract aimed at bolstering the Federal Railroad Administration’s (FRA) Office of Information Technology (OIT) in its mission to enhance IT governance and enterprise architecture. The FRA’s OIT plays a pivotal role in overseeing and analyzing the administration’s Information Technology (IT) programs, ensuring the effective delivery of IT services and products to the FRA.
The FRA’s IT Governance Office, operating under the OIT, assumes responsibility for the oversight of budget planning activities concerning the FRA’s IT requirements. It also coordinates IT governance functions within the FRA and represents the FRA in Department of Transportation (DOT)-wide governance activities. The OIT actively participates in the formulation and coordination of business owner input into the FRA IT budget formulation process, thereby enhancing IT coordination and governance. The OIT is dedicated to efficiently managing and executing the FRA’s IT governance and represents the IT needs of FRA program offices in various IT governance boards.
